Diagram 3-28: Key command processing flow Article V IC card filling system security Intellectual IC card operation system --- COS 7 intellectual IC card, invented as early as 1968, has another name ---smallest PC (personal computer) from very starting. IC card, according to principle of desktop, also needs a set of operating system as platform, that is, COS (Chip Operating System). From the view of its position in intellectual card, it is much more like past DOC in personal computer. COS as core of intellectual card technology, all commands from exterior should be processed in operating system. This system is developed along with integrated circuit card from EEPROM to intellectual card with microprocessor. Compared with general operating system, operating system in card has many traits: address system security; COS is not a universal operating system because it is developed by various manufacturers. Yet, different commercial COS should be designed and developed in line with a basic and general international standard so that make sure the openness of system. Because of adopting unified interface in one factory, different chips may also provide same interface with similar functions. Safety threat and solution to IC card system The security of COS safety protection has integrated many current and matured safety technologies, fuel dispenser its reliability lie in the following 3 items: Secrecy: adopt encryption to deal fuel dispenser information, preventing illegal store and withdrawal data. Integrality fuel dispenser : hinder illegal alteration of information including modification, deletion and increase, etc. Authenticity: system has ability to verify the sender and receiver of data, ensuring data valid and authentic. IC card applied system may be attacked during working. Some are by malice, others unconscious. The concrete attack methods are divided into 3 categories: Method I: Fake card, including fabricated card, changing card in operation, etc. Method II: compromised card, employing lost card or larcenous card to conduct operat

To complete the two transfer standards additional checking line scales as well as long gauge blocks of the same substrate materials were manufactured. This allowed the long- time stability of the standards to be checked as well as important material parameters such a fuel dispenser s thermal expansion coefficients and length compressibility to be independent fuel dispenser ly deter- mined. In the recalibrations of the Zerodur line scale fuel dispenser s carried out at the PTB using different length comparators a slight linear contraction of the substrate material of ( 7 ?4) ?10 8 yearly was observed over the duration of the compari- son. This was confirmed by supplementary measurements on long gauge blocks. It can be seen that the total length of the line scale decreases while the characteristic error of the division or signature remains constant (Figure 2).

ce is starting to erase that distinction, too. © 2006 . About sponsorship Home and away Oct 12th 2006 From The Economist print edition After many false starts, fixed and mobile phones are getting ready to merge PITY the poor old fixed-line telephone. Not only is it now being hollowed out by VoIP technology; it has also been upstaged in recent years by the mobile phone, a far more glamorous, capable and personal device. The fixed-line phone looks old-fashioned by comparison. Where is the colour screen, the camera, the funky ringtone? What, no text messaging? No wonder mobiles now outnumber fixed phones, and that voice traffic is migrating from fixed to mobile networks. Some people are even “cutting the cord”? ditching fixed lines altogether in favour of mobile phones. The proportion of “mobile-only?households is approaching 10% in America, around 15% in western Europe and over 35% in Finland. But fixed-line phones do have some things going for them. Calls are cheaper and clearer, and you do not have to hunt around for a signal. So technologists have long dreamed of combining fixed and mobile phones to provide the best of both worlds the freedom and flexibility of a mobile phone plus the reliability and low cost of fixed lines. This is cal fuel dispenser led “fixed-mobile convergence?(FMC), and there have been many failed attempts a fuel dispenser t it over the years. But this time it looks as though it might really ha fuel dispenser ppen, thanks to improvements in technology and the industry s current mania for convergence. “FMC may finally be taking off after so many false starts and empty promises,?says Mike Thelander of Signals Research Group, a consultancy. The prospects for fixed-mobile convergence have improved because of the spread in recent years of broadband internet connections and the Wi-Fi short-range wireless networking standard, two crucial elements for FMC. Calls are handled within the home by a small base-statio
